Often she is juggling phone calls, emails, and a lot of conversations and schedules for everyone, to the point where much of her energy is probably derived from the coffee cups forever glued to her hands.

If given the choice, however, Maye would rather be attached to her clipboard and doodle or be telecommunication only rather than putting on a professionally dazzling smile to keep reputations bigger than hers intact. Not to say she'll easily give up when the workload gets crazy with tours or anything; once Maye sets her mind onto something, she'll see it through to the end. Often times this involves everyone else before herself, leading what few friends she has made in and out of work to constantly worry about her health and force her on breaks or random excursions to give her some fresh air before she works herself sick.

Having lived a life of intense scrutiny and labeled structure, however, makes Maye a bit unwieldy in the sense of not having a plan, or doing things last minute. When not working, she's probably stressing about not working, or stressing about how to hold herself in public, or stressing about stress before there is stress to stress about. It's a wonder her flowers aren't completely wilted by now...

HISTORY

Since she was but a small rose bud, Maye has lived an incredibly structured life. Labeled and thought out for her by strict parents, she learned that everyone and everything had a purpose and a place in the home and the world -- and to think otherwise was foolhardy. Everyday was set into such repetitive doldrums that much of her time before college was spent in a blur of time, each day mixed into the next, with few and far "vacations" in between. As she was the only daughter in the family, her parents planned to make her into the prime "wife" for someone in the future. Life was business, and thus there was an unsurprising amount of pushback when she wanted to go to college. Though it was a wobbly step away from where they wanted her to go, compromise was achieved as long as Maye went to the school they wanted her to, and studied what they thought would be prudent for her future: Business Management.

The whimsy and freedom of school was, inevitably, what drew Maye far out of their comfort zone. The girl ended up attending parties, taking classes wildly out of the Business Administration courses (ending with a minor in art and music), and stumbling along with her grades. She managed to always get her grades up to straight As when it counted, just so she wouldn't lose her freedom, and in the middle of her final year, Maye found the one thing that really solidified her future -- away from her parents. She found Boo.

With Boo in her life, just as music to start, Maye was able to replace vices with virtues, rave music with punk rock, boots n'cats with voodoo, and when she graduated, she knew exactly what to do with her new degree. Maye struck out for Jarr, where she knew Boo and her band originated, with the intent of winning them over as her manager, as the last one had been fired. It was not easy, especially since she was fresh out of college and trying to stay away from family and the spouse they had "picked" for her to turn their family into fortune and all. The details of the amount of work Maye put into coming out on top of the candidates for the band are hazy, but often times she would wake up at her desk with her hair flyaway around her and cold coffee in the mug by her hand.

It was only when she had to make a rather difficult decision for the band in a hypothetical sense did they seem to realize she was the best for them. It was that, or because Boo had taken quite a shine to the blooming flower with determination on her face. Regardless of the thoughts going into it, Maye has been the manager for a solid two years by now, and the success of the band has been her fortune, winning over the heart and mind of her parents around her last birthday. They have let go of their grudge-holding, because "As parents, we should love you for who you are, and not for who we tried to make you be."

Though Maye's structure will never quite leave her lifeblood, and she's still very much unused to Boo's wild change of moods and her forced vacations, Maye wakes up every day content with where she managed to make it in life, and the friends she has still managed to make thus far. That decision to go off to college was, in the long run, the best decision she's made yet.

Speaks with a slight stutter when nervous or flustered or out of her comfort zone.
The roses in her hair grow from her scalp. They can wilt and shrivel and lose petals depending on her stress levels, and sometimes they regrow in different colors, or on different parts of her body. She's learned how to turn some of the roses into temporary decorations, and also grow decorative vines where possible.
Her choker is a graduation gift from her parents and she never takes it off, as it is both precious and she feels naked without it on.
Recently, they gave her a pair of rose cufflinks as a sort of "truce" that she wears on nearly every blouse possible.
A deep part of her wishes she was able to have gone to art school, she loves to draw.
Her hair is naturally bouncy and wavy.
Naturally smells like roses at all times. However a kiss or taste of her skin would yield a floral-fruit taste, with an aftertouch of peaches.
Always dressed in business casual, unless she is out jogging every morning.
Rare to see her without coffee in one hand and her phone or PDA in the other.
Pumpkin spice latte is love, shamrock frapp is life.
