"It took a good long time of pesterin' to get you to fight me again,
but I don't want it like this! Yer always holdin' back when we spar, y'know?
I can tell when yer bein' easy on me and I want you to cut that out."

Razzle feels ashamed, he averts his gaze away from her and pulls back his ears in a submissive manner.
Looking and behaving more like a cub that had just been reprimanded by its mother than his usual crude and abrasive self.

"Talk to me---
You know I can take care of myself, so what's the deal?"

He hesitates for a few seconds, but then he responds.

"---I just---don't want to hurt you."

Taking a moment to cool her temper and look into his disheartened eyes,
Fastener's frustration with him seems to melt away as she begins to understand his fears.

She exhales sharply, placing a hand on the halfbreed's chest.

"...*Sigh*...That's real sweet of you Razz, I mean it, and I'm sorry I snapped at 'ya like that.
But listen, you made me promise that if anything ever happened to you,
you'd want me to be there to keep Robyn and the others safe.
I don't feel like I can do that if I can't even beat you in a fair fight."

She pats at his coarse fur, removing the dust from his face and body.

"Trust me, I get what 'yer scared of,
and maybe I don't stand a chance against you and that's---fine.
But if that's so, then I wanna see that for myself instead of just takin' yer word for it.
If I can't beat you with brute strength, I at least wanna see if I can outsmart 'ya."

She smiles and winks at him and in response,
his ears perk up and he instantly feels his heart flutter in his chest.

"GUYS."

A voice calls out to them both,
it was Robyn frowning and scowling at them with her arms crossed.
She seemed annoyed with them.

"Can't you two playfight a little further away from the house?... Like, at least a mile away?
I'm still the one responsible for cleaning up after your messes and I don't think I can clean up
a demolished house by the time mom gets back."
