I can almost never find purses that I actually like when I'm in need of a new purse, so this time around I decided to design and make my own

This purse is so absolutely gorgeous it breaks my heart nothing I've seen like this exists. It's elegant, very classy, and just over all very unique and well designed. This my first time coming across your work (I just saw your final fantasy plush, I'm awestruck and haven't snooped more yet) and if you EVER create an etsy shop I DEMAMD a link! Take my watch and please don't stop making incredible things.

I really do enjoy designing purses - it's so hard to find nice, interesting ones. I just wish I was better at pattern drafting and sewing! I'm essentially self-taught - since I haven't taken any classes on pattern drafting it takes me sooooo long to make even a single sewn project! My Mu plush alone took an entire very frustrating month of non-stop work to craft! If only I was faster at it! I have some really awesome scale texture fabric in my supplies just waiting to be turned into a dragon hyde-themed purse, but it just takes so long to do a project like that that I keep putting it off

In my opinion, it looks like the Chanel hoop purse from 2014 (this season too). Stop copying things, you can get sued!

I didn't (and don't) copy anything. I have no idea what the Chanel 2014 hoop purse looks like - I make a point not to follow fashion trends because I believe it defeats the point of what fashion is all about. The right clothes or accessories can give a person a sense of self-confidence, and with self-confidence, success. If a person needs to look to the runways or professionals in the industry to tell them what will be popular that season, then I believe they are essentially looking to others to see what others will approve of, rather than deciding for themselves what they like and what makes them feel good about themselves. I believe such motives can only lead to superficial self-confidence and self appreciation, and, as I said, defeat the point.
My designs, whether this purse or outfits that I have designed for characters in my other original works, are completely my own and designed based on my own tastes. Frankly, I was personally offended by this comment. I would have marked this comment as spam, but I felt it was important that I respond to it.
If this purse really does look like the purse you mentioned (which I somehow doubt), then that is completely coincidental. Artists who have never met and who have never seen each other's work sometimes create work that is coincidentally similar. There are a lot of people in this world; it is unrealistic to think that some ideas don't pop up independently in multiple places. You should therefore consider carefully before accusing artists of copyright infringement.

I also don't like the fact that most purses are big enough to carry a whole other outfit and shoes in. Of course, that's because I will fill whatever sized bag I have.
