〘After speaking with a few people on Discord jack o Jooks are decided to be either cat or dog like and Calendula is very aloof to be dog so a cat it is lol〙

〘Aria doesn't even know where it came from, it just appeared one day and she didn't even see it follow her if that was the case, not even that but it's aura has a very intense vibe〙

〘Aria loves Calendula for this reason because she can easily convince her to follow and obey but a little prodding is involved with this. It's easy though, just a little bit of food is enough.〙

〘Aria hasn't really known Calendula to be very hesitant or hateful to anything else specifically, Calendula does well around people and has no negative reaction to if Aria is in a bad mood or not, which makes Aria iffy if Cally likes Aria or not.〙

〘The shedded skin isn't necessarily tar or rubber or the thing that's in nail polish but it's a definite alternative to buying emergency lighting, and it doesn't really give any smell so double whammy.〙

〘It doesn't really have a face per say? But it doesn't emit any fierce sound like other animals so Aria has a guessing game on her hands. Think of Raven from Teen Titans.〙

〘Aria has heard stories about what mysterious gumballs have done to her fellow co workers, so when she got one herself, she was wary and left it in its wrapper on the table where she found it. However when she got back the gumball was no longer in its wrapper and Calendula was able to float〙
〘However upon consumption, Calendula hasn't obtained any wings noticeably〙
How they met
    ⇢Aria went down to the pumpkin patch one time during October by herself, she initially made plans to go with a co worker, but sadly something came up so Aria ended up going alone.
⇢During her visit, she couldn't help but feel a pair of eyes pinned on her the entire time, shrugging it off as she picked out sugar pumpkins, planning to make a pie when she got home. She soon had enough with the eerie feeling and turned around to see a Jook oddly VERY intrigued with her. She'd figured that the Jook would lose interest if she left it alone, only being proven wrong when it started following her out of the patch and all the way back to her apartment.
⇢Aria soon would find out the moment she opened the door to her place that the Jook wasn't fascinated with her, but rather the perfume she wore, because it pounced onto her coffee table where a bottle of said perfume was, grabbed it laid on the kitchen rug and curled up around it.
⇢Figuring that the jook would leave with said bottle when it wakes up, she left the door open (bit unwise Aria) only to be proven wrong once again when she woke up the next morning to see the Jook there patiently waiting for her. She fried some eggs, fed it, went out for work and found it still in her apartment despite the fact she left the door open.
⇢After a week of this, (the final two days having her door closed) it was safe to say this was her Jook now. Off she went to get a license.

*As implied, this is a Dia de los Muertos themed Jack o Jook and Aria is also half Hispanic, so she does have a bit of a softness to Cally, even if Cally doesn't show the respective emotions to Aria very much.

*It's not added, but Aria has a marigold potted plant where Calendula sleeps at to assert calm energy over the pet.

*Calendula is Italian for marigold.
