Description
I know it doesn't explain how she got out of the cage, just go with it!So, I finally got round to obtaining a copy of and watching the movie. I liked it. A lot. Surprising far more than I thought I might. I'll upload a separate post with a run down of my thoughts on it later in the week.
MLP:FiM owned by Hasbro.

Tempest looks so funny and durble in your animation. Her bulky suit just looks so even bulkier in your chubbier style.

Sadly, thin ponies are pretty much non-existent here...
...all them hay burgers!

My theory why the lava didnΒ΄tΒ set the airship on fire until Twilight points out the flaws in the ship design is this; because the universe is really, really, really big it canΒ΄t be everywhere at once to force rules like gravity, the speed of light and the phone always rings while you are taken a shower. To compensateΒ reality has areas that are less real than rest of the universe, meaning that 2+2 are more often fish sticks than four. These unreal zones existΒ as long nobody pointsΒ out the logicalΒ flaws of what is happing inside them, causing reality to get back to work and the unlogical things disappear in puffs of logic. (ApparentlyΒ logic smell like old books and socks).

I don't think it is really meant to be lava, but it was too amusing to pass up

There are so many parts of that movie that made me go, "Wait.. what?".Β Like, Canterlot is taken over completely and not a single royal guard during the entire thing.Β Where are they? Now, because some writer forgot that Canterlot is supposed to be swarming with royal guards, who could have probably ended the siege in seconds, the brony fandom has to jump through hoops of fire to explain their absence.

The one thing I wondered throughout that entire scene is "Why doesn't Twilight just teleport?"

Well, it was already shown the cage was capable of absorbing her magic, so...

The cage is anti-magic

Ah well yeah at that point fair enough. But still there were loads of moments throughout the film I feel like she could've teleported and she didn't!

No, just straight to Ponyville, and save the ponies held hostage there.

As a random side note, that icon reminds me I haven't seen the film 'Thunderbird 6' in years. Still gets me laughing with it though, even if the realism is terrifying creepy! The puppets even have fillings, and tonsils!

Well, Bob, Twilight could always teleport herself out of the cage...

bobthedalek In reply to Chiyawa [2018-03-01 15:11:55 +0000 UTC]
Well, it was shown that the cage could absorb her magic. I think she'd already tried to break out twice by this point

No she couldn't, the cage had magic inhibitors. They said so in the movie.

I see. I didn't watch the movie yet, so I'm a bit out of the loop.
Anyway, next theory: The cage melt and Twilight could escape in a nick of a time.
