This one was drawn on a 9 x 12 inch sketchpad, but some others were on 8 x 10 inch, or 6 x 8 inch sketchpads.

Around 30-40 hours, which could take me anywhere from a week to a month, depending on how much time I have to draw.

I saw so many connected messages in this piece, it seems the story jumped right out at me and was never ending with its ever-deepening references.
Details getting more tediously small, linking the whole idea as a water tight fabric of ideas and a feeling.
Suggestion of a remarkable, life altering event.
Well, I saw the small white balls in the back base of the neck (main character) as aggressive thoughts, all similar, but individual and mounting and congested.
Memories.
I saw the clock being adjusted. The will to have time pass sooner than it naturally would so as to move on and get past this era or moment.
I saw guts churned, opposite balance of the small white thoughts.
I saw feathers looking like jungle brush bushes which said to me there is "cover and protection" from emotional weather and maybe social barbs.
I saw birds of hope with a worm sleeping, unconcerned, safely below and among them. (telling me that the circle of life does have breaks and necessary moments of peaceful inconstancy involving Darwinistic views of survival.
I saw heart ache, but in the form of a ghost that represented a conscious to me.
The conscious is accompanied by demons. (the bad guys who impregnate a health mind, whispering small defeat tactics)
I also saw the main figure of focus waiting for something to be born or conceived at least, despite the emotional shattering
and raw organics of human condition and chemistry involved.
Sore, thickly pedded feet and very thin legs suggest insane endurance while it also means this creature is a spirit of flight, which is a
positive and a negative, depending.
I say all this because I was instantly so moved by so many flights of thought that I had to get it out.
Thought you wouldn't mind witnessing the impact your work had on one mind.
Extremely well done. Tedious details and a highly polished finish.
