This is a character I've been thinking on for quite a while, but never really done anything with her. So here goes....

Ima Fire, real name Ima Jackson, was brought up in a traditional middle to upper class family life. She was happy and enjoyed growing up with her parents as an only child. Happy, but a bit sheltered. Ima was always a bit naïve about the ways of the world, content to study, read and continue her education in order to secure a successful future for herself.

Ima's father was a teacher at a local high school and one day lost his life due to a school shooting. Ima was devastated and, understandably so, became very angry at the randomness of what happened. In her anger, Ima suddenly burst into flames! Her mutant powers of pyrokinesis activated, turning her into a living fire. Taken by surprise, Ima did not know what to do or how to deactivate her powers. She burned down a large section of forest behind her school before she was able to gain control and stop the spread of the fire.

One would think that Ima would use her newfound powers to lash out and fight injustice or unfairness wherever it appeared. Instead, Ima enrolled in self defense classes. Karate at first, then on to other martial arts disciplines. She did this not to learn how to fight, although she certainly did learn that, but how to gain control. Ima's thinking was that the world has suddenly become random and uncontrollable, but that she can control herself and how she deals with it.

Ima is a formidable fighter, but will only use fighting as a last result. She is peaceful and friendly, even though she covers up a lot of pain and loss. She uses her powers to help others, but usually not to fight. In a Deviant world where fighting is so prevalent, this is sometimes a difficult thing not to give in to.

Ima still continues her studies as she gets ready to graduate high school and go on to University.

A friend suggested she try out for the Paladin's super hero team. Ima tried out not knowing what to expect.....

Powers:
Flame control, temperature control, nova blast, flame throwing, fireball generation and throwing, flight.

Note:
since the advent of her powers, when she is NOT using them, she feels cold and usually wears light winter gear to stay warm.
