POV: You walked in on your mom killing your dad
Narisa and her husband Tedrion had been drinking in her study, going over political affairs before inevitably the conversation turned into an argument about Cruelle, Narisa's youngest daughter. Unlike her first two daughters, Cruelle was not Tedrion's, and ever since she was born he has gone out of his way to belittle the child, and made sure that she knew that he was disgusted by her very existence. Narisa has done all she could to show her daughter that she was still very much loved, even if she wasn't getting it from Tedrion (or her older sister, Tabiah).
But in any case, the alcohol mixed into the argument only made it worse, so much so that Tedrion thought it'd be a good idea to threaten taking the child's life. Claiming to be "rid of the vermin in this manor". Well, this did not bode well for him, as his wife immediately jumped the gun and killed him (like she wasn't trying to find an excuse to be rid of him anyway).
Unfortunately, her eldest daughter, Veresa, stumbled upon the scene.
... Whoops.
