At flirst glance the painting looks unfinished, but the artist did mention this so I will take that into consideration. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Taking the 'work in progress' into my mind I look over the picture, letting my eyes linger on things like the overall shape and movement of the painting. I find this fascinating; the shape and movement caught my eye before anything else. Interesting. I have never had a painting attract my attention like that, immediately to the shape and movement. Brilliant.
Continuing my initial scan of the picture I immediately notice the 'character' with the body of a stringed instrument, a cello or possibly bass. I take my time looking at this instrument, admiring it's mechanical workings and legs of a horse. This 'character' I find aesthetically appealing all around. Yet again the artist shows me something I've never seen before and this is very pleasing.
As I continue to look across the painting I admire little things such as the vibrant, warm colors and the shine on the brass instruments. The painting is visually appealing to say the least, that's for sure.
Overall I like everything about this painting, especially the stringed instrument. It is already very well done and I am looking forward to seeing the finished piece!

I believe you are such a good painter, it always impresses me.
Its not everyone that can create good looking surreal paintings, but you definetly have the skill to do so.
the copper texture on the trompets is awesome

This piece is simply beautiful! I love it! I do kind of wish that there was a tad more going on. I mean, there's a LOT going on, of course, but a little bit more color and goings-on in the background will truly bring out the vibrancy of the piece.

very nice, love the colour theme.. i think the girl needs a little more life to her face, she looks almost drowned out by the rest of the scene.. love it
