(Title is a Bush song.)This is Ember, *brianne333 's character, I did that for the little contest she's running. I wasn't so proud of the lineart (it's okay I guess), but the colouring saved it pretty well. Again practicing with lighting, it's convincing, in general (except on the skirt...).
I so can't do fire.
I forgot her tiara thing! Damn!

usually when you draw fire you should put lighter colours on the inside of the flame and darker on the outside...other than that the character looks really nice... hope you win the contest...

Her arms do appear a bit thin or too long- specially the hand nearest to us caompared to the one further back- it should be bigger?
The colouring is FAAAAAB. Ooh, mama. The tones are incredible and the lighting even more so. The lighting on the clothes and face really give it structure and..stuff. *running out of words*

About thet flame - I think it looks good. It goes well with the 'painted' style you drew the rest in.
Using just the standard tools (and one layer) in PS i just happened to make a quite realistic flame. If you want to I could probably expand it into a small titorial?

Ben tu vois, ma version Painter vieille et dΓ©suΓ¨te marche de mΓͺme: y a Wet Paint et Dry Paint. Le lineart, c'est Dry, faque on peut peinturer dessus avec Wet Paint sans l'effacer. Par contre, toute la couleur est sur un seul layer.

This picture owns me Boum! I LOVE IT. I think the fire is great personally, and I absolutely love the lighting! You really did a perfect job on Ember, beautiful work with her outfit and I just love that face haha! The hands are one of my favorite parts, along with the anatomy (it's so stylized!). I love how you colored the hair too, with the highlights around the face and edge, it gives it nice depth. I really and most truly love this Boum, thank you SO MUCH.

The hair was hard to do... with the "gradient" (I mean the colour change) and the shading, all on only one layer. Turned out cool though, I'm proud enough.
