About Rayne
Rayne was born to a human father and a mother who is half angel. Due to unfortunate circumstances, her father died two days after she was born.

Rayne was sent to live with her Grandmother Flow because her mother was in no shape to take care of her. Grandmother Flow was a full fledged Angel and Rayne learned many things concerning magic and overall life from her.

Rayne's mother visited her whenever she could and when Rayne was sent off to the Academy of Heros, her mom gave her Jeffefferson as a gift.

About Jeffefferson
Jeffefferson is a creature known as a Shift. (no not 9 to 5, or thing on your keyboard) He is just a baby at the moment. But an adult Shift can change into anything that it wants to, but it can only shift once. So once it changes it can never return to its original form or change into anything else.

Shifts are born from souls that are too big for the body it occupies.
example: Lets say a human being has a soul that is so big that it could be split in half to create another person.

In Jeffefferson's case, he was born from the soul of a fish. XD

Just for the record, I made the beings known as Shifts up from the top of my head. *is a strange person*
