Description
So this is a painting "study" that I did today. I couldnt tell you the exact time, but I would say it took about 1-2 hours. I am trying to learn how to paint. I used a base photo to get colors and to just look at, it is from sxc.hu. By no means do I think this is good, In my opinion it should be in scraps, but I want it out there, so I feel stupid, which in turn will make me try harder. Thanks for viewing.Related content

It looks nice man, you know that you run me over if we compare wacom skills!. Paint clouds must be the harder school, dam it's hard lol. I think you really startin to get the basics into your hands.

I think it's always better to put WIP's up to the gallery like this than to leave them in scraps... since most folks never look at the scraps... More likely to get comments this way. I like the shadows and highlights on the clouds, btw.

Not stupid at all - I was doing the exact same thing the other day and thought about uploading it for critique as well. That's how we learn!

Hey, I think it looks very good. It doesnt look like it could be a photograph but that is what makes it worth painting in the first place. It has that look which is admire so much in airbrushings and paintings, it is fluid and looks like a concept painting for a movie.

Not bad, nice colors. It's not really realistic in the way the clouds look or the tree, but as a stand alone it looks fine
