Welp, I wanted to make another fake corocoro scan, but the file I was working on decided to turn into THIS (Does anybody know why that happened? I just went to open my file one day and that happened...)Well this is my take on what Trainer Customization might look like in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
I am really losing hope that there will be any customization at all. There just seems like too much evidence against it. :/
It will be missed. :c
Anyway, normally I don't like to watermark my stuff because it kind of destroys it and sort of makes it seem like I don't trust you guys, but I figured since this artwork took me a long time, and it's not something dumb like fakemon, someone might think they could get away with stealing it.

too. much. texture. going. on. also deviantart insists that my critique is 100 words so im basically going to give you a real review now. what is up with that boy's pants? are they capris? are they shorts? either way its not fashionable. the girl has a nice givenchy skirt on but what is up with that tank top/shirt combo? also i dont actually know anything about fashion im just being annoying. serious question, what is up with the suitcases? i didnt read your description because im lazy but im just curious. really the anatomy is much better but i still dont understand your obsession with texture. texture is for pokemon, people dont get texture in the pokemon world...

I figured I'd put all of the awkward japanese fashion from x and y on them. The weirds shorts are supposed to be those... weird shorts that are an awkward length from x and y. May is literally just wearing a different color of her tank top she already wears.
The suitcases are the unused item from x and y -- the travel trunk. It was an item that allowed you to change clothes wearever you were. I figured I'd make it seem like that is a new feature in this game that didn't make it in the other game.
I'll try to ween myself off of that texture. It's like my colored outline obsession from spriting. :b

yeah it literally looks a lot better without the texture. if you have to use the texture (ugh) but it so its only visible with boosted contrast.... like only hint at a texture

Is Brendan's texture (except for on his legs) subtle enough?
I feel like you can't really see the texture on him too much, but May was a little overboard.

I dunno. We still have two months left. Maybe they're just saving it for last since they wanted to showcase the newer stuff like new M.Es, Cosplay Pikachu, and the return of contests and secret bases with added features.

These are the contest artwork that are shown in the game. Generally, whenever customization happens, it is only done with 3D models, since they are much easier to change because you don't necessarily have to actually change the model, you just have to add the other models for hats/hair/clothes and stuff to them.
With hand drawn art, you'd have to actually draw every combination of hairstyle/color/skin color/ eye color so that every combination would exist.
Because they are using the artwork in game, I'm inclined to believe that customization isn't back, or at least it's only with clothes (because then the hand drawn art would still fit)
Of course, they could end up making variations for every customization option. They did it with Fire Emblem. The only difference between that and Pokemon though is that with Fire Emblem, all characters have a portrait, so it would look weird to have one person be a 3d model.
With Pokemon, the main characters are mostly 3d models, so why would they make an inconsistency that would give them much more work than necessary if they could have just used 3d models?
Anyway, that's my take on it. :b

Ah, I've had that problem happen to one of my artworks before. Was very frustrating as I had to start over completely. Worse part is it was random, so I don't know what caused it. >.>;
That aside, nicely done! I really do hope customization makes a come back, as that was a great feature to have around for variety.

I also have a feeling that Trainer Customization. Will be departing, from the docks of OmegaRuby & AlphaSapphire.
But we can't loose hope. Since I think Trainer Customization, was one of the very favorite features of Pokemon X & Pokemon Y.
