Barney dosn’t like to live in citys, so rather he settled for an old abandoned shack not to far out of the city.

Appearance:

Barney is a lanky, aged man. He tends to look scarier than he really is, what with the red under his eyes and scar on his face. Barney has a normally flushed face to go with his dark red eyes and a mess of blue, gray and black hair. Always has a purple turtle neck on with the sleeves clipped up, and sometimes wears a large brown trench coat over it all.

Personality:

Barney is a kind, and slightly bashful man. Over all he’s gentle and often seems nervous or flustered with an awkward, sometimes forced smile on his face. From time to time, he does have spurts of anger or can be a little more aggressive, but its either only when he needs to or when hes gone a long period of time without tending to his addictions. Barney is also very secretive and constantly sounds like he’s hiding something, even when hes really not. Hes not a very good liar-- in fact he's normally very honest, but he can change the subject of a conversation no problem.

History:

Born in Connecting Cave, Barney lived a very normal life for a Zubat. He wasn't as violent as other Zubat, and was very calm and laid back, never attacking trainers or getting into fights. He simply sat alone on his side of the cave, only moving for food or if a trainer got to close. That said, he was never captured and remained a wild pokemon for his whole life.
Still a Zubat, Barney managed to find a mate once spring came around, and the two laid an egg. Well defending his small family one night from another family of Zubat trying to take over there roost, Barney evolved into a Golbat, and finishing off the other family. Finishing off, as in he sucked them dry. Barney got worse over time, he completely changed from his old lonely self and became a lot more violent. He would attack trainers at night along with other Zubat and Golbat, often biting them or chasing them out of the cave.

Soon enough things took a worse turn, and Barney not seeming to know how to control his own cravings ended up attacking his own mate, doing the same as he did to everyone else. After that he was shunned by the rest of the Zubat and Golbat in the cave and with that he left.

For the next many years, Barney was left with his thoughts, slowly feeling worse and worse as the years went by. He would feed off of other feral pokemon, even though over time he really despised doing it. He was chased away from farms, and towns, and never managed to get settled in one spot. Though that all changed after he ended up flying into Lumiouse City by accident. The population overwhelmed him quickly, even at night, so much so he was quick to hide.

He ended up hiding behind a small flower shop somewhere in the city. It wasn’t long before an old man spotted him from the backdoor. When the man approached though, Barney fled.

For the next week, Barney did return to that same spot. He was still hopelessly lost in the city, bad at flying and scared of people, and just always seemed to find himself back where he started. He would sleep at the back of the shop threw the day time, and wake up to some food left out that night. After not to long, something was left with the food.

There was a small letter, with a strange looking device with it. Due to Barney not knowing how to read at the time, he simply discarded the letter and began to poke at the device with his wings. And that marked the day Barney got himself a Dittech.

It took Barney a very long time to adapt to human life, but he somehow managed on his own. About two years into having the Dittech, he managed to get himself a god working the night force in the LPD, and well he applied for his job, his boss forced connived him to join Gang Ursa.

- Raoul (co-worker/friend(?)) // One of the very few people Barney is comfortable around, trusts, and considers a friend even if he won’t say it out loud.

Extras:

- Barneys a huge gluten, and that normally empties wallet daily.
- He does drink blood, but tries his best to only drink farle pokemon rather than humans or other pokehumans.
- Only reason he started smoking was to help cover up other cravings, and it surprisingly works for the most part.
- Barney has never told anyone about the hole drinking blood thing, and for the most part doesn't think anyone knows yet.
- He hasn't really grasped what it means to be a human yet, so Barney's not completely sure what's socially exceptionable yet, but he's doing aright so far.
- Barney likes to give presents, a lot. Making other people happy is one of the things that make him feel like a good person and happy, even if the effects are short. He also wraps all his presents himself

She seemed very into her work, only looking up when she heard the friendly jingle of the bell over the door. “Hello, can I help you” She called out in a low voice to the stranger entering her shop.
