First off, this is absolutely gorgeous and haunting! I just love the intensity in his face and eyes. Those teeth are just terrifying! I would not want to be the one to encounter this guy! I always love seeing pokemon portrayed in a more realistic manner. I don't think it's done enough. The red lighting is such a great touch and the eye is absolutely gorgeous. Lovely fur detail and I love that you gave him whiskers. Not to many people put whiskers on canines (including myself).

The proportion of the muzzle to the forehead though looks a bit off. The muzzle looks too small and short in comparison to the rest of his head. Also using black to shade black doesn't work to well. I've just recently started looking at new ways to try to shade black without using too much actual black. The majority of the mane is pure black. Using a dark grey and building up with different shades of light and dark grey can help give a similar effect to shading black. Using it is okay if there's an area that just needs to be very dark, but in general to really build up the level of fur detail that is in the rest, using dark grays works very well.

But overall this Mightyena is amazing. I also really love the shading of the nose and teeth. And I love the ears as well.

Excellent job on the fur. The colors look fantastic as does the overall shading. The only thing that this picture really needs would probably be a background; something that would go with the slight pink lighting you gave it. And I think they are seriously underrated. I mean, people think just because they can be caught - or the poochyenas can - in the beginning of the game they are no good! But they are awesome! People just don't see it...

Anyhoodles, I'm soo too many weeks behind on commenting to this picture, but my brain would die if I tried to critique this for you, I think it's just amazing, the way that you did the lips and snarl is amazing! And the texture of the fur is really lovely as well, as is the underlighting of the red thar~ I quite like this peice a lot <3 though for some reason, his ears bother me....not like a bad way! I'm just used to seeing/drawing more rounded ears? I mean, they are nicely rounded, they just seem too long for a wolf? But yet when I think about it I think he has long ears in his design >>;

Gosh, the only thing I see slightly off might be the jaw line. It may be a tad too thin... But maybe that's just Mightyena...

But wow! The shading of the fur is wonderful, and I love your anatomical correctness down to the bared teeth wrinkles, ect.
