I put it in the tool presets folder rather than the brush presets folder. I made a quick custom brush for the fur (a triangle that is set to follow the direction of the pen stroke. I recommend you try marco's brushes they are really fun.

Oh wow I didn't realise you did this with a mouse. Yeah definitely buy a tablet they are great. They are hard to use at first, so practice by using it to navigate your pc etc, and you will get used to it. It's hard at first but worth it in the end!

Yeah used to have a Wacom Volito2 for many years but it broke + the drivers are outdated from the page itself.
At the moment I got my eyes on the Intuos4, but got to save up some more Which one are you using?

Intuos 3. I WISH I could afford a cintiq haha but maybe one day. I also tried a "genius" tablet and they are pretty nice too for a much lower price.

Yeah in photoshop. I made a custom brush with a triangle shape for the fur The painterly style comes from varying the colours in the cool and warm areas. This vid is really good at explaining it: [link]
