Vigil visits medieval Krysta, meeting with a pre-Dragonborn Lyn Dragona.
Here, Vigil meets her gravest challenge yet.
No villain, no torture, no cosmic horror has ever come as close to breaking the heroine's spirit as the sight of Queen Lyn joyfully bouncing baby Yenna, promising her great adventures in the future. The future, Vigil is from, tells another story. Knowing what will become of little Princess Yenna, knowing what is in store for her, her mother and their people, Vigil is conflicted to say the very least. Knowledge can be a double-edged sword. Everything within Vigil screams at her to take action. To warn Lyn. To at least advise her to seek out the traitor, she banished not long ago, and kill her. But Vigil knows that there is no use. She can travel through time, but she cannot change key events in history or else she will cause a paradox and negate everything. And sadly, what the future holds for this proud mother and her pride and joy daughter is key to Krysta's history. So Vigil keeps silent. Grieving the losses that are yet to come.
