I love the way this is tinted. It was expertly colored to highlight each element (the fire's the sun behind the clouds, right?) and the colors are not the traditional red-fire, blue-water, yellow-air, green-earth palette. I rather love this take on it.
I also love that the birds are in such sharp focus, and it looks like they're black-and-white? Maybe it's just my eyes, but either way I like their placement, almost as if you TOLD them to fly in that way to highlight their belonging to both worlds - water and air.
The only thing that's grabbing my eye negatively is the root on the shore, and that's only because it looks really ambiguous. I understand that we shoot what's before us, and that the best photos usually aren't staged or "Set up". That said, this wood just looks a little too much like a pair of legs and makes me go "Great photo WHAT IS THAT THING? e.deviantart.com/emoticons/e/e… " width="15" height="15" alt="

I'm loving this shot! Really nice scene you have captured, the seagulls just add a little extra something to it! The composition is very nice too
My only suggestion would be to try and fix the purple area of the sky. To be honest it's not doing much for me.
But overall, really nice shot, good work
