This artwork was for a paper mini, which is why there's not much perspective.Perhaps because of Asterix, my younger self always saw druids as grey-bearded figures in long flowing white robes, but I did not want to follow that stereotypical design here.
Instead I went back to the historical roots for inspiration and this design is meant to be quite reminiscent of the ancient gauls. I think the combination of the braids and bushy walrus moustache gives him a lot of character and makes him look a little like a celtic hedge wizard, which is just the look I wanted!

Well, he's yelling something... Kinda picture him doing an old school heavy metal scream while the invisible guitarist in the background shreds out a righteous solo!
