Thanks he is, he enjoyed hanging out around us when he wasn't trying to raid the pack of oranges nearby...

We have a video of him walking around having a massive rant too... he kept walking towards the camera to rant into it.

Silly goo goo bird, laughing at its own jokes

living with a grey parrot is rarely dull! ours turned 30 last January and he’s one of the family.  they have the intelligence an reasoning of a 3 to 4 year old child and a highly developed limbic system, so, they feel emotion and are sensitive to ours.

^^ exactly, they do laugh at themselves!

Aww, you're lucky to have one! I had one as a child, we used to play hide and seek. She was a very sensitive sole and loved strangers more than the two who raised her >.< I have a budgie now and he is more than enough entertainment - he has so much personality.

Oh yeah! Budgies rule, smart, funny, playful, affectionate, sassy, beautiful — they have no idea how little they are either - definitely the chihuahuas of the psittacine set.... so much parrot punch packed into such tiny packages! One of my favorite pet birds ever was a yellow/teal budgie named GeeGee. He totally understood conversational English and verbal commands, and would do tricks. A very obedient and happy bird.

My Albie is a loverdoll but he’s got to be in the mood for cuddles, a lot of times he just likes to sit and observe the room and preen, or nap. He takes all his meals when my husband and I do, and he’s involved with all the family time activities, like tv watching, and house cleaning and laundry day.

Exactly! Budgies are really something else. When I was younger budgies were seen as a simple, stay in the cage bird. I'm so glad that viewpoint changed over time.

Our budgie can be very moody too! We have tried taming him. He will eat out of our hands, but he refuses to leave his cage. I've left the gate open for him all day (sometimes even with his favourite treat waiting for him, but he just sits there enjoying his confinement O_o He loves the sound of water, a knife hitting the cutting board and chirping when we are trying to watch tv...

The cutting board! Yes that is the sound of tasty snacks being prepped and never fails to elicit excited chirps in our household too... lol!

the tv is a trigger for laughing cues... Albie will laugh along (even if he doesn’t get the jokes) and he’ll make a long hoot or dooot sound if something is extendedly funny and the tv audience is carrying on  (bird knows how to be extra!)

oh yes, they know exactly when something is funny to humans or when we need silence for something... Apparently I sneeze a lot since Dave likes to "sneeze" along with me out of nowhere.

HAHA! So cute XD~ I love it!
That reminded me of how Albie perfectly mimics my hiccups - so
if I get an attack, he'll have one too? We're hiccup buddies.

My husband enjoys his beverages audibly. He gulps, and makes a refreshed "ahh!" sound. Thanks to him, we now have a bird that does silly cartoon Foley effects every time he sees anyone drinking anything.

*dook-dook-dook-dook-dook-dook-dook*ahh!*

Hahaha! And this is exactly why birds are by far my favourite animal companion   You always have someone to either mock you or join in...
