You're absolutely right. It's just easier to appreciate scenery from other parts of the world because I'm not used to seeing it every day. I just love seeing the northern states and provinces during this time of year. It's very beautiful.

I have never been south and I know I would have a similar reaction to the diversity of plants and animals unique to your area
Now that I am doing more with my photography,it is on my list to visit the southern states
