Description
Uploading to show that my horse painting isn't completely dead, although Lord knows art college is trying its hardest to make sure I have no free time whatsoever. T_TSo yeah, it always seems like I catch up to what other people have figured out years later, but I'm definitely keeping this for better or worse...no smudging, no airbrushes, just solid brushes and low opacity. Takes forever, love the result.
Critique on any of the method is appreciated; obviously this is not meant as a finished piece, just a coloring page. So no telling me the composition is lacking, I know that.

I love the way you draw your unicorn's tails attaching to the body- with a very thick and muscular base, like a dinosaur, rather than the thin horse tails. Those eyes really pop, and I really like the unique shape of his head.

Yeah I'm not exactly sure where that came from, except that I remember thinking, all those years back, that thin tails looked stupid when I drew them. XD Not that I haven't seen other artists carry it off beautifully. Thanks!

This is sososososo beautiful! The colours are amazing, especially when for me, attempting to shade an already black horse seems amazingly difficult. But this is perfect, I love how the lightling captures the slenderness of animal

Thanks so much! Yeah, black is...bleh. I actually read a pamphlet once that had the utter gall to state that it was the easiest color to paint a horse because it just "reflects" the light, no added colors. Don't know what they were smoking when they wrote that... T_T Needless to say that little pamphlet got chucked in the trash.

Good work. Clearly based off of life observation. Dark colors are exceedingly difficult to portray.
As a side note, I am removing you from my friends list, and will no longer be watching your art.
Have a nice life.

References are one thing, patience is another. You'll get it, and you're pretty darn good at coloring already. Plus you're years better at anatomy then anyone your age, or my age for that matter. XDD
