"Wait, is that Peewee?"

"Yeah. We have to give him back to his parents because that time Garble persuaded me steal his egg was essentially baby-napping. But Peewee remembered me and the time I took care of him fondly, and sort of imprinted on me as a 'third' parent. Now that he's all grown up, he sought me out and decided to stay with me at the palace."

"Just like my mentor's Philomena. I wonder if they know each other?"

"Oh, they do. Peewee looked up to her as a mentor or big sister of sorts. Which is annoying at times as that cheeky bird is a... well, not bad, but an influence on him. Twilight knows how many mischievous pranks Peewee pulled on me, the staff or some of the more unpalatable nobles and dignitaries."

True to Spike's concerns, the young and mischievous Peewee subsequently played a joke on Golden Lily, to her surprise and subsequent amusement.

Now, many Bronies think Peewee is gone too soon from the series, and I do sort of agree with them. But I do rather understand the writers' possible reasons - what Spike had done was essentially babynapping, and with Owlicious around having an extra pet it might seem rather difficult for the show writers to keep track of them both. Still, there is the possibility that they would get back together, since Peewee likely would had imprinted upon him as a parent.

So here they are, both grown/growing up and together again. And given they are both very long-lived if not outright immortal, they are both going to be each other's company for a VERY long time.
