Well I heard the team would like to make a Dead Space 4 in the futur, they also said it was possible. But I know now they are working on something else and probably will take some new projects before (if) they make a new Dead space.
but for sure, if there's a new one, people will start making fanart again... I guess the game didn't touch everybody the same way, so the most touched by the game are the ones who will never stop making dead space fannart X)
Still, it's quite sad :/
