oh gosh i was nervous to post this but this part of the storyline has been MONTHS in the making. i've been considering it for a long time.

everyone meet jude haskin, tide's son.
long story short, when tide was on the rodeo circuit he had a very rare and very unfortunate one night stand with a barrel racer. the woman, cindy (a huge redneck), got pregnant. she never told him though, because shes a gross and selfish person. for 6 years she denied this child proper care and her sleezy boyfriend, Buck, treated him TERRIBLY. present day, cindy dies while driving drunk in a storm. none of her family wanted this child, and thats when he finally fell into tides arms.
tide was of course shocked, but he wasnt going to turn away an innocent boy so he took him in. he got a paternity test but... look at that kid. they didnt even need it. that is SO his son, they look just alike.

jude was very closed off at first but he's opened up a TON and is just so happy. he admires tide soooo much, and wants to be just like his daddy! and hes just what tide needed. he lifts him up so much with his bright spirit.

and of course jude is a natural cowboy. it's only a matter of time before tide has him in rodeos

(yes jude is very small for six years old. he was malnourished and under a lot of stress in his last home which stunted his growth. with some TLC he'll start growin quick again!)
