Wow. It's been a while since I posted something I traditionally sketched. XDNeeded to work on Fiddler some more, so I started doodling him. Thanks to this tutorial , I've realized the way I draw faces is, well, dull. XD; Also, I'm a big fan of the Lackadaisy webcomic now, I decided to add a little Lackadaisy flair to the sketches. XP
Also, don't pay attention to Fiddler's face in the middle. It's not my most favorite. XD; I just drew his (possible future) outfit. (It's based on Jib's in Lackadaisy, so I'll change it around a bit)
Also, top left sketch was just plain silly. XD;
Might do more with my other pets that need some more expressions. XP

lol We have similar tastes in cartoonists.
I mean to practice using that tutorial sometime soon, but the way I draw expressions is basically "paste them on the face", so it'll be a challenge. XD

Yay, Lackadaisy! All these expressions are full of so much life and personality. I like the top-right one the best since his laugh looks so heartfelt and joyous. 8)

This is a great variation (if not an outright improvement) on your usual work. Maybe I just love Lackadaisy too much, but I love how you've experimented with your style here.

I suppose that it's true what they say: You are your own worst critic.
I say that because I never saw anything wrong with your expressions before. I always found them wonderfully drawn and delightful. ^.^
However, there's nothing wrong with a little self-criticism driving you to either try harder or try a different touch. We've ALL done it, still do it, and will do it. Right? XD
Anyways, it's really nice to see a traditional sketch from you AND of your Gelert. Especially it's been a while since I last saw a new picture of him. He looks great, heh, and I like the cheesy grin in the center. (Even though you said not to pay attention to it,... can't help it. XD)

I'm suddenly a big fan of Lackadaisy now, too LOL. As soon as I saw the expression on the top left, I immediately thought of Wick making that face from the tutorial.
Nice job on the lighting and stuff here, the sepia tones make it look even better.

oh. Still good though. Is he new? Don't know as much about him though. Bur I like his name, it reminds me of Fiddler on the Roof, though I doubt that's where you got his name from.
