I have no issue with unobtrusive, quiet adverts. It's the ones that jump around the screen, make noise, or flash that I block.

It's super annoying whenever I listen music on Spotify it's the commercials that I'm disappointed. I can't buy premium on Spotify cause I'm still saving some money on the internet.

Used. I hate ads so much, since I'm on an iPad and can't use AdBlock.

You can download an ad blocking app but it doesn't work if you use Safari. Hope this helped!

Adblock or AdBlock Plus may be your best internet friends, but some websites (when you tried to visit them with Adblock or AdBlock Plus) request you to disable Adblock or AdBlock Plus in order to visit them.

To make things even worse, the dA app now hows ads, and the shitty part, they even put ads on MY Content. Unacceptable. They must be turned off. No pop up ads on the App. Even if I opt out, I don't wanna see aggy ads from Amazon and not even ad agency stalking me.

Use Chrome and get an adblocker on your device.

I think the ads on Deviantart aren't really that bad anyway. Especially if they use targeted ads, in which case they show stuff relevant to you (or your browsing history anyway)

My only concern is having tracking coomies. Including Malaware. I don't really want to the Ad Agencies to go over my business

I reckon unless you don't want porn showing in the ads, or you have sensitive information (like you work for the government) that it really doesn't matter so much... Out of all the billions of people using their ads I doubt they'd bother to look at you or me~
Basically, all that a tracking cookie does is record where you visit and show you related adverts. Malware is different, it can fuck up your computer, make excessive pop-up ads appear, steal your cc details, etc.
You can always set the web browser to reject cookies though.
Though if you reject them outright, there's quite a few websites that won't stay logged in Choc Chip?
Evading Malware is mostly a case of not downloading/installing suspicious files/programs (Anything that claims to be a video or music but has an .exe format is a big nono) and the same is with browser extensions such as on chrome or firefox.
A good anti-virus helps too. But I find they have a lot of false positives as well.

Yeah. I would use some kinda of ad on to stop any tracking cookies. Of course, an Anti-Virus could be useful

I especially hate the ones that are 30 seconds and you can't skip them. And the ones that keep replaying OVER AND OVER AND OVER when you refresh the page...

the ad makers do... they need money
but we dont need them, but how is this possible?
if we dont see them again the ad makers wont make money...
GOOODDDDD! UGH ITS HORRIBLE JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS
they're gonna need to find themselves a new way to make money then w/out ads...

A lot of websites, especially smaller websites, RELY on ad revenue to stay online.
Doesn't matter so much to block them on DA, since they're a major and well established company with stocks and subscriptions, etc. But small websites without subscriptions or any way to make the money are either paying out of pocket or closing down.
So, not sure how it is 'greedy'... You can't really turn a profit on an ad when the cost of hosting the website to with the ad on it probably eats everything anyway.

I hate ads, especially when they are the ones that install malware on your laptop. Like the ad Mackeeper, I accidentally downloaded it and I would get a ton of pop up ads and it would keep redirecting me to unknown websites. Luckily I found and installed AdawareMedic and it took care of the problem. I would highly recommend AdawareMedic!

That, my friend, is why you don't just click and download random crap from the internet. There is no such thing as an 'accidental' download and install, these kind of things have to ask first for permission. And if you have the permission just enabled by default, that's a security issue on your computer, not the fault of ads.

Yeah I was young and stupid. I was still learning to use my mac and the ad looked legitimate, so I clicked it. I have now learnt from my mistakes

Yeah, they're quite sneaky, some even look like part of the site they're shown on, or they say 'Download!' on download websites. :/ Ad Blocker is very useful in those cases.
I remember once years and years ago, one of those full-screen pop-up ads came up and said my computer had a virus and it had hacked our credit card details, I turned it straight off, ran and hid in my room

I have adblock and it is my best friend Before I got it, I would visit sites such as Putlocker to watch some movies- that website has so many ads that you can't click anything without an extra window opening up
