PS: i know giegue appeared only in mother 1 but i like to use phrases from earthbound since they are more memorable.

well, in Japan, Giygas AND Giegue were both called Gyiyg,and it was confirmed by the creator that they are the same being

Giegue IS Gigyas, just that when it turned into Gigyas it went insane o-o

I always imagined Gigyas as the father/son of Giegue, which somehow sounds better than Giegue going nuts. Although, I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just saying there can be multiple theories.

I just always thought it was giegue going insane and having to have that machine hold his mind together or something. That seems to be the accepted theory at least. o-o
