Every day I think "this is the stupidest thing I've ever drawn" .....and then the next day happens.I've been feeling a little unhappy lately.

I just started publishing my first few fan fics on here and I felt a bit silly when I realized how incredibly cutesy and sappy they are ._. But I've totally embraced it 
And in response to previous comments I have depression too, its probably the most common form of mental illness, if not illness in general.

Everyone does. Studies show drawing especially happy things will actually release serotonin from the brain and therefore make you happy. And this work is fantastic! I just love anything Fluttershy/Discord.

ah. I've had it for almost 3 years now. Or at least that's when I got it identified. It kinda sucks, but I've hopefully found a way to work through it a little better.

Well it seems to be effecting the recent generations.Β within the 20 year range for sure.Β Kids just have no idea how good they have it.Β give them an indoor bathroom, they still not happy.Β TV in there room? they still complaining.Β I don't know what they expect to get out of life.Β But for it to happen with so many, makes me wonder what changed to make them depressed all the time.Β Maybe the lose of poupous in life?Β I don't know.Β Well good luck on it.

Depression is an illness that effects a lot of people at any age, its not the same as having a bad attitude or being unhappy with what one has.Β
Clearly this artist has depression, but they seem to appreciate whats on the TV that may or may not be in their room
And I appreciate what I see on my laptop :3 which is in my room

Bullies is one thing. It will never matter how good Β you have it, bullies and other things like peoples death can still effect you. My friend recently had depression and cut hurself...... for a while..... she's better now though.

Sometimes I feel I should try drawing something less fluffy and more dramatic like I use to, but I can't always think of something that would actually have substance to it and won't just be gloomy for the sake of being gloomy.

then don't worry about it since for now it's not a job.Β do what you feel comes naturally and your art comes out better for it.Β do the dynamic or gloomy when you feel inspired for that route. for now that's what i do
