Considering I actually have no idea what I'm doing 8'D the best I can recommend is to look at other comics that have been published by professionals. Look at how they handle things like panels, how they draw their word balloons and where they put them, how they draw characters in each panel etc etc. They have more experience than you or me, so a lot of problems we'd have to try and figure out ourselves they've already figured out completely, so you can see how they solved a probem and learn from them.
