Description
I've longed to do a proper rescue-mission comic for Firedrop. For those of you who are new, the Charmander, Charmy, has a lit tail that is immune to water. And at this point in time, Charmy would be very used to water by now. His closest friend, Sapphire the Vaporeon, one day decided to pick a simple mission from the board that involved diving into the sea. She wanted Charmy to get more used to her element.
Now usually, she would give air to Charmy via kiss, but for situations like this, she had to restrain herself so that other Pokemon would not notice their odd love for each-other. Luckily for Charmy, they were not underwater for too long.
Yeah, I know I may have put my lizard's life at risk here, but what can I say? Where's the fun if you don't take such risks?Β
A little flaw that I noticed, since I coloured this in; I think I had meant to colour the Horsey's tail black-ish, not red. I did not really want to make it look like it was covered in blood. It's not in my drawings' nature.
...And one more thing - I like Finneon! ^^

Oh.
Y'know, it's usually the tail that people question, but....the walking? ...I never thought of that.
Clearly, I have no explanation.

I like the idea. Allow Charmy to adjust even further and not rely too heavily on Sapphire being there all the time. I'm sure both will continue to improve as a team the more rescues they do.

I've revealed why, earlier. I recommend reading through this team's stories if you are that interested.

There is an episode where Ash's Charizard fells into the water all the way down and his tail did not turn off. I beleive the species tail must not simply turn off by water contact, they must be in a very weakened state for that to happen, so don't worry.

I used to have an idea for my old PMD story involving a mission underwater. I never really wrote it out, but instead of a rescue, it was more an exploration due to my team being an exploration team. Basically what happened was that shifts in the ice had uncovered a long lost sea, and they decided to go explore it using special dive gear developed by an Alakazam, and to keep warm, they consumed a lot of red gummis. I never wrote it out but it would have turned into a bit of a rescue in itself.
On the drawing, I think the red fits better personally. I didn't get the feeling of it representing blood, just an injury. Most injuries in drawings or cartoons are represented by a red highlight, which doesn't necessarily mean blood if that makes sense.

I didn't think gummies could have effects like that. ...Maybe I should include more PMD elements if I do another Firedrop rescue comic.
Also, 'tis a little sad that you haven't worked on anything for a while. But hey, I've come used to it. Go at your own pace, Thrash. I know I am.

I mainly made up certain effects such as that. Just my own unique way of tying in some of the elements of the games.
As for my work pace, the motivation is slowly returning, as I've been writing that crossover for a while now, and I've been playing with the idea of trying to draw again. I kinda wanna draw my fursona as he would appear in Zootopia, and I've been thinking of some other potential pieces of art, junst haven't really done much there. But it will come in due time.

Heh. I try to keep some logic in my rules in what I make. If that makes sense.
