Assalamualaikum, I have only one question for you.
Since I really love drawing so much, not just drawing humans only. I also draw furry anthros too. So, is it consider a sin if I draw them? I know that drawing a character with horns are forbidden, cause it resembles the devil.

hi dear,
from what i understand,
it's okay if u draw anything u like, and make sure only you the one who view it, not share to the world if the anime girl is not cover her aurah.
If u want to draw something and the intention to be view by other person, hopefully its a good thing (according to the rules for Islam Illustrator), and u may gain reward for it.
hope thats help, thanx syukron ^^

Photography and Drawing, both are allowed within some condition according to Yusuf Al Qaradawi's book "Lawful and Prohibited in Islam"
this is the link to read those conditions [Seek and scroll down almost one-third of this page to get the relevant topic]>>>bit.ly/1Ltg56h

Excuse me i have been practicing drawings for a short while now and i try my best to be a good Muslim ( lord knows i have been making mistakes here and there), but for the longest time i have drawn anime guys ( to simulate a picture of me) and humans with wings ( they are not for the intention of making a angel i just like the idea of a human with wings) and i just have a couple questions to ask that have been boggling my mind
1.) If u do get to a point where your drawing is good can u still draw anime like SAO kirito for example not for the reason of idolization but just because you feel him as a cool character and you felt that drawing him and adding him to your art collection would be cool
2.) Lets say i have shown my friends a drawing of mine like a panda monk from wow or a anime guy to see if they like it and to see if your work has gotten better is that haram?
3.) Is drawing eyes haram?
4.) If u draw wings on a human is that haram
Im sorry if I wrote anything horribly (need to get better) but its just that i am making a manga with a few friends and we throw concept art at eachother all the time i was just wondering if u dont have the idea of defiling or challenging god is it still haram

No.
They left out important parts. Even if we don't idolize them/don't think of them as equal to Allah's creations, if their face is shown, it's haram.
Any creature (Like animals, humans, or any other species) that may have life if it truly existed/already exists are not allowed to be drawn. This includes mythological beings.
If people wish to draw such, they have to leave out the face (or at least the eyes). As no human can live without those features.
Showing art to people isn't a sin. (Question 2)
This answer applies to your question 1, 2 and 3.
Drawing wings on humans isn't a sin. It'll only be a sin if they have facial features.

showing people your drawing to mean of some opinion and measure rather than for arrogancy was fine, its more like promoting stuff and see the level of your skill. just dont be to much proud or you will have break the second rule in the picture

I'm taught it is forbidden to worship what you draw/Sculpt etc etc.
I guess it is fine as long as you draw mythological beings, knowing they don't exist... Abouting ''Creating'', I guess it is not forbidden for me to make OCs as long as I do not see myself and ALLAH(c.c) as equal beings. So I can draw my ''imaginative world'' and characters (It is hard to not use create since english is not my native language and I can not translate properly XD)
That is what we are taught.

hhh but no matter how much I search it doesnt say it is certainly haram. It says it might be mekruh .-.
in fact it is alright as long as it doesnt trigger people into worshipping that?????
if it is certainly haram why some people have no talents but some do? Or maybe someone wants to see a person/lover but they have no possibilities of having a photo to look at whenever they miss them?

according to ones I read and hadiths, it is forbidden to worship them and see yourself as the creator.
I have no desire to create since I am just a human and that is Allah's thing to do.
"The angels do not enter a house in which there are figures."
Four angels that idk names of in english (Azrail, Cebrail, Israfil, Mikael) wouldnt enter our homes for no reason. If this was true then all it takes is to hang a drawing of a person on my wall to be immortal so that Azrail couldnt take my life but it doesnt happen. It mentions figures
About the curtain, curtain was turned into a pillow. Because of the architecture thier home had, one had to pass that door to reach the mosque and pray. If it was that wrong, it would have been destroyed.
it is not wrong as long as it is not cloth and paper. I believe same applies to screen as well since such a thing didnt exist by then (since the file we open serves pretty much as a paper)
''Al-Tirmidhi reported on the authority of 'Utbah that once the latter went to visit Abu Talhah al-Ansari, who was ill, and he found Sahl ibn Hanif (another Companion) there. Abu Talhah called someone to come and tear up the sheet which was under him. "Why tear it up?" Sahl asked. "There are pictures on it, and you know what the Prophet (peace be on him) said concerning that," Abu Talhah replied. "Did he not also say, 'Except if it is made on cloth?' " Sahl asked. "Yes, but it makes me feel better," Abu Talhah replied.''
It was times that one could easily worship even a rock laying on the ground. Now that humanity has developed and became more intelligent, a muslim/jew/christian wont simply worship a drawing they made. Ottoman was known for its glory, and the way they symbolized Islam to the world in a correct way. Statues of myhtological gods that were worshipped were forbidden such as Zeus. But portrait of sultan's wife or sultan himsel was allowed.
But there is no clear saying that it is a deadly haram in Qur'an just like it is clearly stated that alcohol, pork, murder and such are stated clearly.
I can give more examples but idk how to english to that degree :v in short this deviation itself is correct. I dont really trust every imam's words I see because well... uh certain reasons like ones saying Sun spins around worlds, there is no gravity, drawing money is sin etc etc >.>;;

I don't really quite understand at point number one and two~
Point number we're not allow to draw something we like~? For example, we can't draw character from anime cause it's consider as idolizing is it~? such as drawing Mikasa from Attack on titan with her head cover~? ouo
Point two~
Against the creation~? Does that mean we're not allowed to draw an alien for science fiction? Does this include drawing bg as well? I love drawing background because it makes me calm, warmth and comfortable in the inside... Does drawing a bg is like agaisnt the creation or smthg? ouo

Assalammualaikum I'm a muslim from Bosnia and Herzegovina and I have a question and I hope you will help me. I really like to draw and I'm drawing everything (animals especially) since I was little. Until now all I was drawing was anime/manga related and two years ago I started to draw on photoshop. As you can see in my gallery, I drew some things that, I'm afraid are not good (haram). I found out just recently that drawing is haram and I was searching the internet and found some uncertain information about it, like some say it's haram and others say it's not as long as you're not worshipping it. I saw a lot of muslims drawing anime/manga related things on dA and found many groups. I'm not sure if you know this but in Bosnia there are lots of muslims and the largest religion is islam. In schools children draw normally in art class from kindergarten to high school. I never asked my religion teachers about it and they never spoke about this, like it's something bad. My intention was not badand I stopped drawing and I'm really afraid and feel ashamed and embarrassed because of my works. Am I now sinful person because of this? I hope that you can answer my question, if not can you suggest someone that can answer my question and help me?

waalaikumusalam warahmatullah.. err.. may i know what is your question, because i'm a bit confuse to what you are trying to tell me..
as a brief, i also had a moment of stopping my art completely regards to what i've read in a book of "Halal n Haram in Islam'.. after further searching about it, i got to know that drawing is like what states in my drawing above..
from drawing anime character that doesnt cover aurah, i started to draw character based by islamic guideline. i decide that drawing such islamic characters is helping dakwah in islam and also helping others to know more about islam.
so, as my conclusion, its began from our intention on making an illustration more to what we creates.
hope thats help a bit ^^.
salam.

I'm sorry I didn't write it very well, my originally question was
Is it forbidden to draw in general and you cleared it up for me.
Your answer was very helpful, thank you!
All those illustrations I drew untill now were never drawn with
an intention of crating or something like that!

Thank you for replying to my question, but I already know the answer now. It's actually haram (forbidden) unless it's for da'wah (calling or inviting people who are not Muslims to Islam) reasons, educational reasons, or also for this reason: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFd-SU…
Right now, you probably want proof which you can find in this website page that is all about the ruling or law pictures in Islam according to the Quran and Sunnah which are the two sources that we Muslims always refer to for guidance (to live our lives as true Muslims as Allah wants) or help: muttaqun.com/pictures.html
Please, do read it.
Masalaam.

Okay, but your opinion is wrong. Because no matter what reason or excuse, it's prohibited to draw living objects (like in your drawing) unless its for daw'ah or those other reasons. Am I not correct?

cahaya-pemimpin In reply to Manaspoon [2013-09-07 11:02:37 +0000 UTC]
hehehe, soon u'll understand what i am trying to say to u, u cannot just draw something for da'wah unless u need practices n such first. like ABC, u need to learn the alphabet first, thus u can make a story telling afterword. thats why i'm telling u, if u try to draw smething (while u r practising it) u have to view by urself, the art i meant. anatomy n much more. after u have confident to make a da'wah or beneficial art.
depends on u to understand this or not, bcause i'm using simple word. 'the underline'
