Just a little birthday present for my good pal Jenan, a.k.a ~TheJenjineer . It's supposed to be a picture of her; all I had to go on was her own depictions of herself, so it may not be entirely accurate. She's got a very whimsical style (as well as personality), so I tried to be a little whimsical with this myself. I think it came off more silly/goofy, but hey, I am a cartoonist after all; silly and goofy's what I do...So happy birthday, Jenan! Hope you have a good one.

Random though it may seem, there's a reason behind everything I put in the picture:
The clock is inspired by all the clock symbology in Kingdom of Boredom, and then the plant is just straight from the comic;
The fairy is because you've drawn more than one of them on occasion, same with the cat - the balloons were just for fun though;
The dangling moon and stars and the jar of moonbeams were inspired by your poem "The Shoppe of Nocturnal Wonder";
The paintbrush is for your visual artwork and the pen is for your writing; the chocolate is for... well... you know... it's chocolate;
And I wanted you to be riding some sort of fantastical creature, and a dragon-y thing just made sense, especially considering how much you liked "How to Train Your Dragon."
So I guess that's how I managed to cram all the things you like into the one picture; I actually thought it through. (le gasp!)
Anyway, I already said it, but I'll say it again: Happy Birthday!

Believe it or not, it's not as random as it might seem. That sense of randomness is part of the whimsicality of it, though.
