Description
Changed this up a fair bit, adding a much more interesting "background". It's pretty clear what this image is referencing, but mainly I wanted to improve on my prior designs. Much thanks to the amazing Geoff Darrow, who inspired the majority of my design choices.Related content

Hey thanks! They were a detail that Geoff Darrow often put into his work, and he was a major influence on the look of all the Fallouts, so I had to include something similar here.

It definitely adds a sense of authenticity. The old WWII bombers used Felix the cat a bit, too, if you ever want to include him.

It's really cool! And it looks more like an armor for soldiers than for the brotherhood.

Yeah, that was the idea - a lot of the Fallout universe has gone unexplored (the invasion and annexation of Canada, for example), so this was the result. This is supposed to be War-era tech, and the stamp on the arm is meant to signify an army of occupation.
Really glad you like it!

[link] thanks for designing this!i know now if it was your idea or ot but i love it!when i first saw this armor of yours i wished i could one day find a modder to make a mod out of it!and now there it is!

Yeah, it was based on my idea (I think the artists involved have been very thorough about giving me credit, all told). Glad you like it! I hate it now, of course. Soon I think I'll revisit the Fallout world and have another go at power armor and some retro bang-bangs.

I've seen it - looks pretty good, although I wish they'd kept the detail on the legs a bit closer. I love the idea of AF deployed power armor! Thanks for mentioning it!

In a nutshell - less "battered and rusty" and more "retro", I guess. I'm glad you like it!

For the most part. The helmet's altered, but the pieces and arrangement are still mostly inspired from the original.

I like the design and the colors you used for the armor. The only things that strike me as odd are the chestplate and the visor. it seems that with a shouldered weapon, the bulge in the chestpiece would get in the way too much, and the visor being styled like goggles would restrict the field of vision, but overall, it is a very cool design

I don't really think of this as stealing, since they did it for fun and did contact me once they'd put it up.
Plus, my name's down there at the bottom, as well as a link to the pic.
I do appreciate the fact that you went to the trouble to let me know, though! Thanks very much!
