Been taking a little break from drawing each day to focus on some other important things that required my attention, and also to simply take a well needed break since I felt I was also on the edge of burnout.

I’m coming back for a bit because of a renewed interest in pixel art. I’ve always enjoyed the style of pixel art, but personally I’ve never really done it before. I decided that today I’d give it a try and see what my thoughts on this style is, and how I might personally use the limitation of being constrained by the number of pixels available to me.

I found this to be an enjoyable experiment testing out this style, and if I could learn more about pixel art, perhaps I might try to create characters, props, and environments that I could potentially use in a game engine. I also like the idea of simply using this style to try and create illustrations that I might have not otherwise have made before if I hadn’t decided to give pixel art a try.

I hope you guys like how this piece turned out, and if anyone has any experience making pixel art, I’d love to hear your thoughts, and if you have any tips to share, I’m all ears!
