Description
I was really into the byzantine empire when i drew this. Not as much now, but still, it's pretty interesting. I drew this a while ago, and i just found it again, so yay!The figures kneeling and creating a solid circle are Skutatoi, the mainline spearmen of the byzantine army. The ones on top are the Latinkon, who were norman or western mercenaries from nearby italy or sicily.

Thank you! I found it pretty interesting how mercenaries played such a big part in later byzantine armies, so I tried to draw them
