Oddly enough, it seems the hardest part of her to draw isn't her absurdly complex outfit, but the Core Crystal on her chest. I haven't seen anyone who can get the divided cross shape to look right.

It is. Drawing curved lines is tough. Having a pre-defined shape to try and match is even harder.
