Description
This started out as a late night sketch intended just for kicks, especially since the next day was already announced as a snow day (for school). However, it turned into my sketchbook project for Art class at school... the theme was "storm"; we were allowed to interpret it anyway we wanted to. I turned it into a mental storm, perse... it centers around the thoughts of a "Spanish harlem-looking" anthro fox that I later named Dirty Sanchez (after a dance some of my bandie friends do).Scenes from top left to bottom, counterclockwise: tree and fence (graveyardish) against a sunset-to-night sky with crescent moon; moth being drawn to the flame; ocean waves with a "message in a bottle"; industrial scene with a city on a cliff, which a person is standing on the edge, the wind drawing newspapers out of the person's hands, coming towards the viewer to show the war headlines; Dirty Sanchez standing against a cement and brick wall: the cement wall has graffiti that looks like animals and blood, and the brick wall has the outlined shadow of a claw above Sanchez's head.
Yah. That's about it. Ended up getting a perfect on it... my first ever attempt using watercolors.
Media: Watercolor, black pen, white and blue colored pencil (white for ocean wave-tops only, blue for Sanchez only)
Dated: Februaryish, 2003

Pretty awesome... the colors really show a far off distance plain... more less of the mind and a mental typoon... Overall its very powerful and words can't explain the main points made in this work.. Keep it up..
