Can you guys believe it's been 5 years since I did character bios !? I'm shocked and disappointed in myself!SO! my new years resolution is to get my main characters bio sheets done and posted as well as re-vamping the old ones! ( they're terrible!)
Most of you know Derik right? now here's your chance to get better acquainted with him!

Aww he is adorable! Poor thing is too delicate though. I wish I could hug him and make him healthier (I think I need that too though. I don't eat vegetables, so I am the opposite of him)
Anyways, I really like his background story. It is very interesting. I quite like how his negative life experiences made him a better person. I like to see people and characters like that.
I really like his design too. I like his hair, his chastity belt (interesting idea!) and his x's on his hands. Cute character and nice story behind him! Great work!!

BIO! I knew very little about Derik before this, but he is an absolutely wonderful character! Every universe needs someone like him. I like that he is so passionate about animal rights and his eating beliefs, but I also like that there are downsides that he is ignoring or not even picking up on. It is always interesting to see a character with strong passions and prominent flaws

yes i know the feeling, i miss the black hair too and I really think black looks good on him, however I feel I have too many characters with black hair.
BUT it MAY make a come back...he's the only character in HIS story line with Black hair so it's not all that bad.

I am not trying to start anything, but just becuase you are vegan, that does not mean you are vitamin deficient. You can get all of your daily vitamins, and them some, while still practicing veganism.

I'm aware of that.
this particular character however, does not get the vitamins he needs. as he refuses to take pills (as stated in the bio he's hard core straightedge and views them as drugs) and he does not like dark green leafy vegetables (which are the most nutrient rich)

but comments that have nothing to do with my art or and little to do with the character annoy me to no end as they're a big waste of my time. the entire point of comments is to get feedback on the character and/or art. and comments such as "HEY this doesn't apply to all of this -insert clique group here-" don't help me at all.
he's one character, not a spokesperson for Vegans united. so I fail to see how just because this one individual does something, that somehow implies that I think they all do it.

I love reading character profiles, I'd definitely be eager to see more of these from you.
For some reason, I smiled at the thought of him staking out, all sniper style, in front of a biker bar with his paintball gun. There's just something extremely gutsy and yet charming about that imagery.

UGH HE IS SO CUTE. I think thats so sad about his eyes :< And I really like his outfit ;D I love that he wears tights, it humours me to no end. GREAT WORK, easy to read and I like that you didn't pick stupid font and just got straight to the point with Arial

Wow, he's an interesting character, but rather fanatical about the straight edge lifestyle. However, people such as he do exist and he does make an interesting and wonderful character.
