Well, it's been more than a year since I drew SM related stuff. One thing I can't stand more than the stupid food photographs with the :3 faces and micro shots of caucasian vaginas on Deviant Art is my own Burlesque Scout collection.... Their heads are huge, they're way too skinny, their proportions are weird, and yet it's STILL my most popular work to this day.
SO.
I've decided to redraw them. This time, they are more realistic and CHUNKY. These ladies are high class whores entertainers. They eat well and have nice things.

Note: I appreciate the fav's/comments, but I'm redrawing these for my own satisfaction, so I'd appreciate it if you could keep any negative comments regarding their costume changes to yourself.

Any plans to 'redraw' the other Sailor Scouts?
I like these ones, my friend.
Anyway, I wouldn't say that they are 'chunky' in the sense of the word. Personally, I would call them more 'three-dimensional' and a bit more realistic which makes these pictures just as good as the originals in my opinion.
Realistic, yes. 'Chunky', no.

I had the sketches for the other inner's done, but I was too busy with school to continue it. Now that I look at it again, I wanna redo them all once again... haha. I feel that I can do an even better job now.
But yeah, you're right. They're not chunky in reality. They're just considered chunky when you compare them to the typical anime shoujo's body type..... way to screw with our perception of reality, huh?

while these do seem more along the lines of burlesque people the others seemed to fit more to the manga/anime character designs. either way both designs are still very lovely if you ask me.

Wow, nice! I see the influence of your figure drawing class. The proportions are very solid and well thought out. The costume is very well designed also! I like how you integrated elements from the original uniform into this one.
The most impressive thing is that I can see how much you really enjoyed drawing these characters. Whether you still count yourself a fan or not, making this took a lot of knowledge of each character's costume. There are a lot of great details packed into this. Great job!

Kudos for deciding to redraw these! While the old designs were super cute, Burlesque is indeed more mature and, hell, not for skinny little girls! I'm a fan of the new look definitely!

Mars definitely looks more seductive here but I don't know that she would let herself get "chunky" as you put it. The original was kind of cutesy, but the pose here is pure confidence.

Regardless of misproportions on your previous ones they were still beautiful ^_^ And they were unique to your own style which is why many loved it so much. However I will not deny that this picture is a lovely improvement on your technique. I love her arrogant seductive pose which is complimented well by her facial expression that screams badass lustery. The simple details on her bodice are beautiful and eyecatching while not too overwhelming. Plus you've done extrodinar on the coloring to say the least. It's a wonderful piece my dear, well done.
