Description
Staedtler pigment liner and Gimp.Artwork ©CanisAlbus
I doodled the lineart during a lecture without the aid of reference material so it's definitely not the most accurate jaguar. Let's just agree that I chose stylization over scientific accuracy.

Stylization isn't a bad thing, this is captivating exactly as it is! Reminds me of the stylized Art Deco panthers by Paul Jouve.

It took me a while to get that the text is panthera onca
Seeing letters you use everyday as stylization for english is unusual, wondering how you got this idea ^^" and haha, feline from you is something unusual xD Love it !

Love the work, the colors are fantastic. Reminds me of the posters and event notices of the period, could slap a Paris Zoo, Sept. 9 - Oct 14 on it and imagine people standing in line to see the new exhibit.

Beautifully stylized and lovely colors! I love the eye and the line that flows from the back of the head to the shoulders.

Русские буквы выглядят здесь странно, возможно потому, что мне этот язык знаком. Но, если подумать...Выглядит очень оригинально.

More specifically, Panthera onca is the scientific name for a jaguar.

Its a very cool stylization. Honestly, when I first saw it, it reminded me of the stylized and intricate artwork that could be found on a postal stamp; the colors, design, and type placement. It just looks amazing. ^^

And the stylization is beautiful! It looks like a stamp straight out of South America.
Also I'm guessing the text at the bottom is just stylization, because I'm learning Russian and was curious what it meant - the first word is gibberish but oисд means oasis. But then after seeing the art piece's name, I realize you were going for the scientific name. *dead*

The jaguar is still awesome! It may not be anatomically accurate, but the style helps with identification. It look so South-American.
But... Cyrillic... It looks so wierd, aah. Sorry, but it's hard to interpret it when you are familiar with slavic languages, and first thing you see is RDITNEYAD OICD.
