Description
I finally put the skull, which is one of my best 3D works so far, in scene. It actually had a Sub Poly Displacement (3 dimensional surface/material which makes the skull look incredibly realistic) but i had to take it away again due to the resulting render time (it took 23 hours for just the half of the picture, i aborted it) now this one rendered about 40mins with a bump map instead. Hope you still like it.I apreciate any kind of feedback!

This is so awesome. Is it alright to use this as a reference for a scratchboard drawing?

It is very good, the blue tone seems peace, but the fangs og the skell contrast very interesting. However the skull is good, I think that the shine of he water is the best done as well as the texture of the sand. Congrats

Thought this would make a great start for a Kiteboard design.
Cyclone Kiteboards have aproached me to run a competition after seeing the results of the 2007 Cardboarding Competition
So thought you may like to enter the 2008 Cyclone Kiteboard Design Competition . Three kiteboards are up for grabs, each worth over US$800.
An entry must be a .jpg or .psd created with the entry template (include top and bottom) and use these logos or come up with something fresh and new.

This is absolutely amazing. I wonder if video games will have as much detail as your works someday?

its great!! you only forgot one thing: there are the midle teeth, then the laterals, and THEN the canines...so they should be a lil deeper in the teething.
but if its a mutant unhuman/vampire thing, it doesnt matter
but again, great work, i love the sand.

This is such and awesome piece. I wish I could give a good critique, but... well... I've never been particularly good at digital art. The extent of my experience with art on my computer is probably simply converting photos to b/w and messing around with borders and altering the colors on my work. This definately gets a
from me though.

Now THIS is what i'm looking for. Wonderful combination of elements, each a little cheesy on their own but this combines them really well into something rather original. The details are wonderful - the sand on the floor, the air bubbles, the water's refraction and the grains of sand that dirty the skull itself. I especially like the bubbles because it conveys the impression of movement in what would otherwise be quite a still subject. Well done!

I love the way the light reflects on the water and how you've captured the sand in the mouth and eye socket, giving that age old feel...

maybe someday, when you have time, render it with Sub Poly Displacement but only for ~20 hours.. then just hit print screen, and paste it in photoshop, just to give us a little preview as to what it would look like.
