Description I finally put the skull, which is one of my best 3D works so far, in scene. It actually had a Sub Poly Displacement (3 dimensional surface/material which makes the skull look incredibly realistic) but i had to take it away again due to the resulting render time (it took 23 hours for just the half of the picture, i aborted it) now this one rendered about 40mins with a bump map instead. Hope you still like it.

I apreciate any kind of feedback!

† That is freakin' sweet! If the eye-hjoles or whateva they're called were evil-er lookin', it would be wicked. ‡

I initially found this pic first before the 'stang pic. lol But this is incredible. It's very soft yet dark at the same time. The light blues are soft to the eye. I really enjoy staring at this one! \m/

The colour in this are fantastic, as is the use of light rippling across it to add to the underwater feel. The extended canines are a nice addition

Damn... you do some amazing work. I'm honestly jealous... I'd love to be able to do things like these... I'm just good at pointing a camera at things and pushing a button.

for you, my friend.

Thank you! You should have told me that before I finished it because now i cannot takre any pictures of the progress. Anyway, even if i wrote a tutorial it wouldnt mean, that anyone can do a skull like that one, because that factors that make out the final result are experience and knowledge about the program.

Hehe damn, well if you make another skull scene make sure you do a tutorial, even if it was for the experienced.. i'm starting to get to know the program a bit now...
No prob.

Damn, nice job on the water. Looks fairly realistic. Holy crap, there's a skull in there too!! Jesus, that just scared the crap outta me. Its like camouflaged...

No really, this is a way badass job you've done here. The details make all the difference in this shot. The sand, in particular, I must congratulate you on, as I've tried many a time to get sand looking right and it never works. What's the polycount?

So... what- 10,000 on the sand alone?

CanisLoopus In reply to Reflex-Seven [2004-12-14 03:50:32 +0000 UTC]

thx The poly count of the scene is about 50k and the skull has 40k.
