Cute piece. Β I'm very introverted, naturally so, have been since birth. Β I don't mind people, I just don't feel comfortable around them, especially large groups of people. Β I don't mind interacting at times if I must.

Thanks so much for drawing this.Β It's not just true, but it's a perfect way for me to easily explain the situation I've been going through all my life.Β I've got a bunch of friends who identify with this comic as well, finally understanding why they act the way they do, while others are finally realizing why I'm not as social as they want me to be.Β Your comic really is a godsend.Β Oh, and it's cute 'n funny, too. ^.^

I have Asperger syndrome, a form of autism, which means that I am an extreme introvert. I can so relate to this: this is exactly how I feel a lot of the time. I wish some of my friends could see this. Could I share this on Facebook, please?

Did you get this information from your personal experience, or did you read about it somewhere? Β I fully agree, I'm an introvert too. I tried to show my husband to help him understand and he didn't believe it at all.Β

And now add being a highly sensitive person and you will feel like aΒ r ecycling equipment, absorbing all the stress, pressure and other impressions you are surrounded by and get rid of your precious energy like you showed so well in this image. It`s surprising how much a human being can take.. D:

I'm pretty far off to the end of the introvert scale myself and I think your explanation is spot on! I am married and my wife and I get along just fine - she has become rather more introverted over our years of marriage.
Some people have complained that your description of "extroverts" is too unflattering. To that I have only two words - "psychic vampires!"

If this is meant to be given to extroverts to read, describing extroverts as obnoxious, as predators, and as annoying isn't going to work. I know some hardcore extroverts (who need to learn about introverts) who will stop reading before they ever get to #2. Even if it is the case that introverts see extroverts as obnoxious, as predators, and as annoying, find kinder, gentler words if you really want hardcore extroverts to take this seriously.
Also, the term 'precious energy' will be off-putting to hardcore extroverts.
Just some food for thought.

Read some of SchroJones' comments throughout the currently 12 pages of this -- this seems to be the actual viewpoint SchroJones has of introverts.
The artist's comments include claims that Extroverts have held thoughtless dominion over oppressed Introverts until the internet came about and comments that Extroverts are simplistic, subhuman creatures that can be summed up as liking to make noise and apparently lacking the literacy to enjoy books if there's a party around (apparently all Extroverts are identical to croaking frogs holding some booze bottles?).
And, unfortunately, a lot of people are apparently jumping on the "Introverts = Good / Extroverts = Bad" bandwagon that this pic has become part of.
Damn. Β This will only damage relationships between Introverts and Extroverts to a terrible degree as the Introverts reading it suddenly decide compromise, mutual respect, and mutual accommodation with their Extrovert friends is no longer important but it should be all about the Introvert's needs and about no one else's. Β Damn.

While there is a bit of hyperbole, as a pretty introverted guy I find a lot of extroverted people to be painfully draining. You're right though... I'd find a different word for "predators".

Thanks for this
One of the most common misunderstanding of introverts is that we're shy/socially awkward etc, which is not true.
The whole difference is just how we create and spend energy.
Introverts are as much of a speaker & presenter as other extroverts.
It's unfortunate that society these days are designed to cater for extroverts, open plan workplace, mingling in large groups etc.

My god, this is accurate down to the smallest detail! I especially love the "Introverts Get Lonely, Too" part, and the bit about "acknowledge the introvert, but don't immediately get up in their space". Like I said. ACCURATE. Consider this favorited!
