*cracks knuckles* Now to get onto my massive commenting spree, I really hope I don't get annoying
Since this is the opening prologue, I really like the fact that there isn't any dialogue between the characters. The silence though out the page gives the readers a greater change to understand the emotions that are coursing though the page, and appreciate all of the little details in the background, from all of the 'Get well soon' and 'We miss you' cards to the teddy bear in the corner, the Jr. high class picture. The attention to details on the brace and the rest of the scene really helps it all to come together to keep a clean but rather emotional start, without being sappy or cliché and, easily captures the readers interest and pulling them in to explore the world you have created. The colouring and shading Vik did was amazing, casting the shadows in the right spots and being consistent. The tones of colour perfectly match the mood that you created with the line art, and both enhance each other without taking away. Plus those feet and hand are just perfectly sexy XD which is rather ....difficult art, to get to look right. Sorry this is kind of wordy. I'm sure you already know, but if you didn't, did you know that pink roses are a symbol of grace and elegance, and are often used for communicating thanks and admiration, as well as being used to convey appreciation as well as joyfulness? which in some cases is almost ironic to the mood, considering the grief and loss that is taking place. Either way I think its a rather nice contrast and use of binary opposition.

...I guess it's supposed to be kinda creepy, with all the medical devices, sewn flesh, and stuff, but because of the stuffed bear, that cyborg just looks like a sleeping child to me. Cute and innocent. He's probably not, but...

The kid's cute and innocent, honestly. There's nothing evil about the patients - they're normal people who are dying of a horrible genetic disorder and doctors like our Ella here just don't have the technology to save them, resulting in then becoming broken cyborgs and dying soon after.
That's how the story starts and it builds as we follow the people trying to cure it and the most successful patient's progress within the medical corp.
