I really love that personal style and the great difference between These characters!^^

I saw your characters!^^
And it´s a bit similar to These ones because it´s like a yin and Yang theme!^^

Hahaha, nice idea, I´d like to get some more Information about you characters as well!^^
From my site it´s simple!^^

Chronus is the god of hell so a clear fire type!^^
But he has got a calm personality.

Chorum is the god of heaven and I always thought of water because
mostly I´d compare fire to water!^^
But now I have to think about that because when I see him here as an ice type,
than I´m so impressed that I may Change it (at least add) an ice theme!
So thanks a lot Captain86 for this great Inspiration!^^

The relationship between them (because yours are a couple) is a bit more difficult.
Because Chronus is a calm and Chorum sometimes a very childish Person they often
get into fights but they can´t live without each other so in some way they are a couple.
But not that simple!^^

well as far as elementals go water and ice are not far off from each other and since your characters are literally Gods it would not be unreasonable to stretch it out to both elements. most people don't do both cause you can have a tendency to make them OP, Avatar and the water benders works because you only have 4 types of powers and they have clear limits on what a single person can do.
so yeah go ahead with both it wont hurt.

as for my characters, and i can't get nuances from that short of a description, but it is like a clear divide between the two with no gray mixed in this may not be the case cause like you said it is probably more complicated.

but for my characters it is more of a full fledged yin-yang where each has a little bit of what the other "should" have

Blaine(flashfire) is a emotional chameleon, in everyday life he mostly lively but it can change from an eccentric sparkler to a mellow candle flame in a matter on moments, blink and you will miss it so to speak. but when he goes into battle he is very calm decisive and cool under pressure. where most people would expect a fire elemental to be like a raging wild fire Blaine is more like a cutting torch. instead of going in with whole sale destruction he tried to cut away at the foundantions and cause the situation to collapse from within.

Victoria(permafrost) on the other hand is very calm in everyday life very observant and helps where she can but generally stays in the background as a counter weight to Blaine. but in battle watch out, she is a furious fighter, gung-ho in your face no holds bar type of fighter. get her mad and better start running, but she is not overly aggressive while each has their own fight style they are both forceful but calculated, Victoria just adds a little more force than Blaine would but just enough to do the job. graceful anger is a good way of putting it.

as for their relationship, it takes a long time for each of them to really come to terms with how they feel about each other. For Blaine it is the typical superhero dilemma of "i don't want to cause i don't want to lose her." cause [spoilers] that has already happened to him once. and he struggles with this through out the storyline to the extent that several times he just shuts himself off from Victoria. Victoria on the other hand can't make heads or tails of anything she feels for Blaine, she has her own goal of becoming a hero to redeem her mother's names but as she gets into it and things start happening she finds out it is nothing like she imagined it and she finds herself turning to Blaine for not just hero advice but as a moral anchor and a shoulder to lean (and cry) on when the "storms" are at their worst.

their is so much more i could go into here but the rest would contain a lot of spoilers and stuff.

my final advice is that when writing your characters specially ones that are paired together for one reason or another it does not have to be romantic. don't think of each as an individual think of them as two parts of a whole, and how they relate, interact, support, restrain, and do things for each other. that way you get it to be a dynamic complex and threshed out relationship that people will genuinely care about. cause they are your babies and no one will love them more than you unless you give them a reason to.
