It's Klonoa. I remember several years ago I played one of his games. Even though it was just the one, I still like the character. I find him to be interesting and it's a shame that Namco hasn't done too much with him over the years. Perhaps we'll get something with him again eventually.

The game I played is called Klonoa 2 Lunatea's Veil. It was for my old PS2. As I said, even though I only played through it once, I really enjoyed it. It's hard to find since it's so old now, but there are a few let's plays and walkthroughs online in case you want to see it all. I will say that I liked the Sky Pirates and think they're a great duo. But I won't say their names, to prevent possible spoilers. The story overall is pretty good and fun anyway.
