This as been plauging me for years, I can't tell weather this would have been %100 worth a effert or weather it wouldn't be as good as I would imagines it. I feel alot better knowing that it would have been three hours and not fourteen like everyone thinks, but I am almost sertan that his film would have sofred the same fate as so meany other passion projects like Heavan's Gate and Once Apon a Time in America. Both of these where movie which were ruined by the studios becuse of there lencth, leading them to bomb at the box office. So it would have been inevitabul that Jodorowsky's Dune would have suffered the exact same fate. Also, if this had been made when it was, there's a chance that we shouldn't have gotten Star Wars as if Dune bombed, then studio's would have been less cofidant in Star Wars than they already were and cinima would be very diffrent. Some might say that "he could have split the story into two moive just like Denis Villeneuve with his film" but even then, there's not chance there would be a part two and part one would be a single film.
