The Andromeda Class Cruiser is a design by P.T. "Roguewing" Riley (Sorry, I'm enjoying his ships at the moment). And is a TMP version of the NX Class, had the basic design still been in production at that point.Related content

Didn't the NX class of star ships get it's class name from the NX-**** for the ship's registration number? I seem to recall seeing this on a model of one of the ships back in the 1960s or 70s.

The NX designation, in a ship's registry, comes from it being an Naval Experimental or NX ship. In "Star Trek", the NCC stands for Naval Construction Contract.

oh! you should also do a TMP refit of the Ptolemy class as well, or do another version of this with the secondary hull of the refit Connies, and have it attached to the bottom of the saucer; just fore of the impulse engines and aft of the ventral navigational dome; for an TMP feel of the refit NX-01

Pod under the saucer was actually torps in my version......
But I think I like it better as a deflector.
And, what can I say? I wanted to see how it would look...and I liked it.
