The Star Trek Chronology. Β Wow. Β I hadn't thought of this book or any of the designs from it in a long time.

Out of print, and no longer in cannon. It's sadly overlooked, these days.

Back in the Β mid 80s I submitted some vessel designs based on stuff out of this book to the Star Fleet Battles folks, but they weren't licensed to use it. Β Still, it's great to see other people remember it Β

Great rendering.

So glad you're doing the SFC, especially for this one, my favorite. It seems mean, lean, period-appropriate and distinctive. It really looks like something early human designers would make.

Thanks. It's definitely one of the better early designs.

A variation of an Arthling cruiser, I suppose. But then the book came out in the 80s, as did the game.

...more like Clu's Destroyer...I mean look at that shape and compare it to Clu's personal ship.

Well, the "hammerhead" design is a popular one.

But this design came from a book published in 1980. "Tron: Legacy" came out in 2010 (the original "Tron" in 1982). So, this one came first.

Awesome, especially the shark-teeth, considering these were the workhorses of the Romulan War in that particular publication, it is appropriate considering espirit-de-corps, nice work as usual.
